About At-Risk for Students

At-Risk for Students will build upon Kognito’s SPRC Best Practices Registered At-Risk for Faculty. A recent study, conducted at 72 universities, reveals strong evidence of At-Risk’s positive impact on the knowledge, confidence, and ability of faculty and staff to act as effective gatekeepers, and to help reduce the number of undetected students on campus (to view a complete report about the study, click here). At-Risk for Faculty has been adopted by over 30 universities. A demo can be viewed at www.kognito.com/atrisk.

At-Risk for Students will allow universities to train their entire student body quickly, effectively and affordably as gatekeepers. During this game-based learning experience, students will:

  • Learn to identify warning signs of mental distress in fellow students
  • Practice engaging fellow students in conversations to discuss their concerns, and manage a conversation if a distressed peer approaches them
  • Learn how to make an appropriate and sensitive referral to the campus counseling center
