At-Risk: Suicide Prevention Training for Faculty and Staff
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Almost half of college students report feeling so depressed it is difficult for them to function, and 10% say they have seriously considered suicide in the past year. As faculty and staff, we can play an important role in identifying students who suffer from mental distress and encourage them to seek help in our Psychological and Counseling Center.
To address this need, we have adopted At-Risk, an online interactive course that engages learners in simulated practice conversations with virtual, fully animated students who show signs of depression, anxiety, and thoughts of suicide. This unique feature will provide you with hands-on practice that is essential to increasing your confidence and ability to identify, approach, and refer at-risk students. This 45-minute course can be completed over multiple sittings.
We thank you for taking the time to participate and help our students.

Step 2:
The system will then send you an email to confirm your email address. Check your inbox for the email and click on the confirmation link to activate your account. The email may end up in your Junk Mail folder, so please check that folder as well.
